We have moved our site to another spot.
Our old site was nice but we wanted something that would have more information for the Homeowner to understand more about who we are and what we do.

Our company has been around since 1985 and our customer relationship is outstanding.

Garage Door Bucks

This will give you the Homeowner a idea of what you will need to install a new Garage Door.
Always  use Pressure Treated Lumber.

Good Day at Work

Another Satisfied Customer
We installed a 16/7 and 8/7 today for a real nice couple today.
Their old doors were wood and really needed to be replaced.
Once we removed the old doors we installed the 2x6 pressure treated lumber on each side of the doors.
2x6 is required for hurricane purposes and it gives the track system for the door to have something strong to be attached.
If any company tries to install a garage door in your home and does not install the wood framing,
They are not installing the door correctly and is not inline with your local building code.

I really enjoyed this job.
The garage was clean and we had plenty of room to do our work.

Easy Maintenance

What Are These?
Rollers and Springs
The rollers are what allows your door to ride inside the track system to guide the door.
These need lubrication every 90 Days.
What, No one told you?
That's normal.
Most Garage Door companies never get to meet the Homeowners and the maintenance never gets discussed. Every 90 days lubricate your rollers with Silicone Spray to keep these rolling smoothly and quietly. Not lubricating the rollers causes the ball bearing inside the roller to dry out which will cause them to rust and wear prematurely. Most standard size doors have 10 rollers.
If your door has rollers that have no ball bearing lubricating them will help but not as much.
We recommend replacing these with ball bearing rollers.

The next picture shows a example of the lifting springs that do all the heavy lifting.
These also need lubrication just like the rollers.
The springs in the black are called Extension Springs, These spring are located along the side of the garage door. These do not require as much attention as the Torsion Springs.

The Silver galvanized Spring in the picture you will mostly find on larger, heavier garage doors.
These are located above your door.
These are much stronger than the extension springs and need to be lubricated every 90 days.
Although the galvanized springs are rust resistant they will tarnish.
These springs also benefit from general inspections which you can do yourself.
Every 6 months,
Close your garage door
Release the garage door opener arm using the red code hanging down.
Lift the garage door by hand.
If you can not lift the door easily, Stop you need a professional.
If you can lift the door, Place 2 of the door sections above your head and have 2 sections in the opening.
If the door stays in the half point and does not try to close your door is balanced.
If not, Your springs need adjustment and you need a professional.
NEVER ATTEMPT TO ADJUST THE TENSION ON YOUR SPRINGS!!!!!
THEY ARE DANGEROUS AND TO BE ADJUSTED BY A PROFESSIONAL ONLY!!!

Atlantic Coast only uses galvanized springs for optimum performance and lasting durability.
